Does Obama have a plan to address the sequester? Yes. Do Congressional Republicans have a plan? No.

There has been a great deal of nonsense in the press that President Obama doesn’t have a plan to address the sequester. This simply isn’t true since the president ha made a number of offers to that address the deficit (the underlying reason for the sequester). Ezra Klein (Washington Post/Wonkblog, Bloomberg and MSNBC) and David Brooks (NY Times/PBS NewsHour) had an interesting conversation about whether Obama had any plans to address the recently, with Brooks coming out looking rather foolish. You might guess that when Brooks begins his comments by referring to his column that stated Obama didn’t have a plan to deal replace the sequester by saying: ” First, the column was a bit of an over-the-top lampooning column about dance moves.”
